1. Who we are
Sur-E-Kahani (“we”, “us”, “our”) creates personalized songs based in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and order process, how we use it, and the choices you have. For questions, contact giftasongteam@gmail.com or +91-9899987770.
2. Information we collect
When you place an order or request a corporate quote, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, your payment transaction ID, and the details needed to create your song - the names and nicknames of the people the song is about, your stories, memories and preferences, your chosen language and vibe, and (for the Basic package) the link of the song you selected from our channel. If you opt for the free YouTube video, we also receive the photos and videos you send us. For corporate enquiries, we collect your company name and project brief. We do not collect or store your bank account, card or UPI credentials - your payment is made directly through your own bank or UPI app.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to create and deliver your personalized song, to verify your payment, to communicate with you about your order (including on WhatsApp, by phone or by email), to prepare corporate proposals you request, and to improve our services. The stories, names and media you share are used solely to create your song and video - they are the heart of the product you are ordering.
4. Your song on YouTube
If, and only if, you give us permission in advance during ordering, we create a video of your song and upload it to our official YouTube channel. The video remains Unlisted for the first one month (accessible only via your private link) and after that it automatically becomes Public, which means the names, photos, videos and story elements in it become visible to anyone on YouTube. If you do not give this permission, we do not upload any video and your photos and videos are not published anywhere. Details are in our Terms & Conditions.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run our business - such as our website hosting provider, form/order processing tools, and YouTube (only where you have opted for the video service) - and where required by law. Anyone processing data on our behalf may use it only to provide services to us.
6. Data retention
We keep your order details and communications for as long as needed to deliver your song, handle any follow-ups, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. If you would like the personal details, photos or videos you sent us deleted after your song is delivered, write to us at giftasongteam@gmail.com and we will remove them from our records, except where we are required to retain them (for example, basic billing records) or where you have consented to a Public YouTube video.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the exceptions above). If you gave permission for the YouTube video and later change your mind before the video is published, contact us and we will honour your updated choice. 8. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use basic cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site (such as which pages are popular) so we can improve it. These tools collect aggregate usage information and do not give us access to your device or personal files. Embedded YouTube players on our site are served by YouTube and are subject to Google's privacy policy.
9. Children
Orders must be placed by adults. Songs may of course celebrate children (a baby shower, a child's birthday), but the photos, videos and details of any minor must be provided by their parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for consenting to their use - including the choice about the Public YouTube video.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its “last updated” date. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
